| Pulling Contests  Animal Pulls
Categories for animals include horse, ox and pony pulls. Rules for the draft horses are those adopted by the Eastern Draft Horse Association; for the ox pulls, they are those adopted by the Connecticut Ox Owners and Drivers Association; and for pony pulls, the contest is conducted under the rules and regulations of the Connecticut Draft Pony Association. The Durham Fair ensures that all animals are treated in a humane manner.

Tractor pulls, lawnmower racing, calf penning, roping and riding offer fun and thrills for many fairgoers-are you one of them? The Durham Fair offers stock tractor pulls, antique tractor pulls and garden tractor pulls in the Tractor Pull Ring, which is located in the southwest area of the fairgrounds.This special area is also home to some more unusual tractor events such as "tractor games," "back seat driver" contests and even a "people pull." |
