Fair Parking Restrictions: The CT. Department of Transportation, CT. State Police, Durham traffic authority and the Fair will post "Emergency Order-No Parking/Tow Zone on Road or Grass Shoulder" signs on any state or town road within a one-mile radius of the Durham Fairgrounds. These restrictions will be strictly enforced by the CT. State Police, and vehicles illegally parked will be towed at the owner's expense.

In addition, because of the increased pedestrian traffic, there will be no parking allowed on the so-called state right of way. Where there is a sidewalk on Main Street (Route #17), that means the grassy area between the road and the sidewalk. Where there isn't a sidewalk, the no parking corridor is considered to be two car widths ( 15 feet) from the road. This new restriction is also made to assure access for emergency vehicles if necessary when fair traffic is heavy. The restriction does not apply to businesses with parking lots, which are located at either end of Main Street except for the Durham Market. The parking restriction information is important for those Fairgoers choosing to park in local resident paid parking in Durham .
