Horse Pulls

Any horses not weighed on Sat. must weigh on day of draft on Durham Fair scales.
Rules for draft as adopted by Eastern Draft Horse Association will be followed and enforced. Trophies and ribbons awarded winner in each class.
An additional $25 each 1st prize money will be awarded to every horse class.
An additional $25 each last place team to be awarded to every horse class by Cloverdale Farm, Middletown, CT, Marsha & Harold Graves.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed anywhere on the grounds or in the parking areas.
$20 premium will be paid to each team pulling the initial load and not winning any prize money.
The Durham Fair expects that all animals will be treated in a humane manner. Any exhibitor, or representative of an exhibitor, who treats any animal in an inhumane manner, or in a manner which appears to be inhumane, will be removed from the fairgrounds. All premiums and awards will be forfeited.
