Horse Pulls

Any horses not weighed on Saturday must weigh on day of draft on Durham Fair scales.
Rules for draft as adopted by Eastern Draft Horse Association will be followed and enforced. Ribbons awarded to winners in each class.
An additional $25 each 1st prize money will be awarded to every horse class.
An additional $25 each last place team to be awarded to every horse class by Dianna Dixey.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed anywhere on the grounds or in the parking areas.
$20 premium will be paid to each team pulling the initial load and not winning any prize money.
Authorized Persons in the Ring: The pit personnel and the owners or agent only. Only one teamster and two helpers allowed in front of the runaway bar.
The Durham Fair expects that all animals will be treated in a humane manner. Any exhibitor, or representative of an exhibitor, who treats any animal in an inhumane manner, or in a manner which appears to be inhumane, will be removed from the fairgrounds. All premiums and awards will be forfeited.

Weights of horses pulling in 3 Horse Class Sat. night will be honored for Sun. classes.
