Fashionable Fiber Promotion
The purpose of the Durham Fair Fashionable Fiber Promotion is to promote llamas and Camelid fiber through visual presentation to the general public. There may be 2 people in 1 entry. Each entry will receive 1 ribbon and premium. The handler must have 50% of their outfit made from llama fiber. The outfit may be knitted, woven, felted, locker hooked, crocheted, etc. The more variety of uses with the llama fiber will benefit the entry and the handler does not have to have made the outfit. The llama must have been entered in the open llama show. The llama used in the ring does not have to be the llama that the fiber came from. Each entry must submit to the superintendent a 1 page commentary by 10 p.m. on Thurs. The commentary should include information about the handler, the llama, the outfit and their farm. This commentary will be read while the handler is in the ring.
