Weather & Safety

9/26/2026 Update

Mother Nature may have changed our plans, but she hasn’t changed what the Durham Fair is all about.

So many exhibitors, nonprofits, vendors, farmers, volunteers and animal exhibitors have worked incredibly hard and made the commitment to be here this weekend. And we want to give our community the opportunity to come out and support them.

Sunday, the Durham Fair will be open from 9AM–3PM with just $5 admission and FREE parking at Regional District 13.

Come walk the grounds, visit the animals and exhibits, grab some Fair food, shop our vendors and support the nonprofits that count on this weekend.

The Durham Fair is a nonprofit too, and like so many others here, we’re simply trying to make the best decisions we can with what Mother Nature has handed us.

We’re all in this together. Come enjoy a little bit of the Fair, support the people who showed up, and help us make the best of an unpredictable weekend.

Exhibit pickup will be Monday 9/28/2026 from 4–8 PM.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding and, most of all, your support.

9/25/2026 Update

Due to the severe weather conditions expected this weekend, we have made some difficult changes to our remaining Fair schedule. The safety of our guests, volunteers, vendors, performers, animals and crews must come first.

The Durham Fair WILL remain open Saturday & Sunday from 9 AM–6 PM.

Canceled:

  • Tyler Hubbard’s Saturday night concert
  • Remaining weekend stage entertainment
  • Animal pulls
  • Motorized events
  • The midway will close Friday evening and remain closed for the weekend

Still Open and Ready to Welcome You:

  • Three animal barns
  • Five exhibit barns
  • Durham Fair Farm Museum
  • Covered Marketplace
  • Beer, Wine & Cider Tasting Tent
  • Food vendors and more throughout the fairgrounds

We know many of you planned your weekend around these events, and we share your disappointment. These decisions were not made lightly, and we would rather risk disappointing you than risk anyone’s safety.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support of the Durham Fair.
