Connecticut’s Best Country Fair is Back—Where Memories are Made (and framed)

September 25–28, 2025 | Durham Fairgrounds, Durham, CT

Durham, CT – Close your eyes and picture it—the scent of fresh hay and fried dough drifting through the air, the rumble of engines from the Motorized Events Arena, the cheer of a crowd as the Bunny Hop races begin, and the sweet taste of a just-poured Lime Rickey on a warm autumn afternoon. This is the Durham Fair experience, and it’s coming back September 25–28, 2025 for its 105th year.

As Connecticut’s largest agricultural fair and voted Best Country Fair by Connecticut Magazine, the Durham Fair blends the authentic charm of New England farm life with the excitement of live entertainment, heart-pounding events, and food you dream about all year long.
See It All

Wander through three bustling livestock barns to meet cows, goats, llamas, and more. Marvel at giant pumpkins and vibrant produce, then stroll past thousands of handmade quilts, floral displays, baked goods, art, and photography—entries from neighbors, friends, and local makers competing for a blue ribbon.

Hear the Music
Let the soundtrack of the fair surround you—from the soaring harmonies of Alter Eagles on Friday to the powerhouse performance of STYX on Saturday night. With four more stages featuring live music and performances all weekend, the fair buzzes with energy from morning to night—all included with admission.

Feel the Rush
In the Motorized Events Arena, engines roar and dirt flies with the Demolition Derby, Truck Pulls, and the ever-popular Monster Truck showcase. In the Animal Pull Arena, the raw strength and skill of Horse and Ox Pulls remind us of the traditions that built Connecticut’s farming heritage.

Taste the Tradition
Bite into the famous Big Donut, sip a cold Lime Rickey, or savor apple crisp still warm from the oven. Many food stands are operated by local nonprofits—so every indulgence helps the community.

Make It Yours
Browse rows of vendors selling handcrafted goods and artisan products, take the kids to the Discovery Center, ride the midway, and watch as the fairgrounds light up under the night sky.

Honor and Celebrate
On Sunday, September 28, Military Appreciation Day offers free admission for all veterans.
“We want every visitor to feel like they’re part of something timeless,” said Debbie Huscher, Marketing Coordinator. “The Durham Fair is where you can shake a farmer’s hand, listen to a song you’ll never forget, and watch your kids experience the same joy you did years ago.”

Advance tickets are on sale now at www.durhamfair.com, with early-bird discounts available. Download the free Durham Fair app for schedules, maps, and real-time updates during fair week.
