Durham Fair Foundation
The Durham Fair Foundation's mission is to preserve and promote Connecticut's agricultural and rural heritage by sponsoring education events, programs and exhibits.
In 1996 the Durham Agricultural Fair Association, Inc. formed the Durham Fair Foundation, Inc. The Foundation’s Certificate of Incorporation states, in part, that the Foundation “shall at all times be limited to operating exclusively for the benefit of, performing the functions of, or carrying out the purposes of the Durham Agricultural Fair Association, Inc.
This statement has resulted in the Foundation sponsoring exhibits and demonstrations during fairs as well as seminars at other times. The Foundation also acts as the charitable arm of the Association with funds provided by the Association in 1998 and 1999 and from 2006 to 2012.
